How to adopt? It's simple!
|
Adoption Costs: All animals are spayed
or neutered and up-to-date on shots at the
time of adoption. To help defray the cost of
this medical care, we request a small adoption
fee.
Click here for a complete list of adoption
fees. Senior pets make wonderful
additions to the family too! Faithful
Friends is in the process of micro-chipping
all pets before adoption. For your
convenience and to comply with state law for
all dogs to be licensed, Faithful Friends
Inc., will provide a dog license at the time
of adoption. The additional fee is set by
state or city officials. Your new dog's
license will be either a State or City of
Wilmington license depending on your place of
residence. Please be prepared to pay for your
dog license at the time of adoption.

3. Faithful Friends reviews the application |
| Our goal is to put a pet
into the home most suited for that
particular pet, and we screen and review
applications personally. Once the Faithful
Friends case manager has reviewed and
accepted the application, it is time to meet
the pet you have selected. |
|
|
4. Meet the pet |
We work with the you to
arrange a home visit with your family and
the pet you have selected. This allows you
to see how the pet interacts with you and
your family, and allows you to get to know
the pet. If there's a match - the adoption
process is complete. |

Faithful Friends comes back to check in |
| A Faithful Friends volunteer
will come back within one week, and again
over the next few month to make sure that
all well. We can give advice for training,
housebreaking, and socialization of your new
pet as well as review any veterinarian
visits with you. We will stay in touch, as
each animal that we place becomes a member
of our extended family! |
