Pets Being
Re-Homed

Still looking for the perfect pet? The pets listed below are not in the custody of Faithful Friends Inc. Instead, they are dogs and cats being "re-homed" by members of the public who are required to show us proof that the pet minimally is altered, and has a rabies and distemper vaccination. Therefore, Faithful Friends accepts no responsibility for the pets posted on this page.

If you are interested in one of these pets contact the individual directly. We recommend that you ask for copies of proof of rabies and meet the pet before adoption.

If you would like information about POSTING a pet to this website that you are trying to re-home, please contact the Faithful Friends Pet 'Life Line' 302-427-8008.  Thank you.

Dogs

SUNDAe
Sundae
Sundae is a special dog in need of a special owner. She is a very strong, healthy, 50 lb. American Staffordshire Terrier with a Brindle and White coat. She is approximately 2 - 2 1/2 years old. She is spayed and is up to date on all her shots. Sundae's favorite thing in the world is having her belly rubbed. She also loves toys that she is allowed to tear apart and chew. Most of all, she loves attention from her owner. Sundae does best when she is exercised regularly. She MUST be the only dog in the home. She is selectively dog aggressive, especially when food is present. Sundae adores children, but because of her weight and bulk, I would prefer that she is adopted into a home where there are no very young, small children. When left alone, Sundae should be crated, only because she likes to chew anything that remotely resembles a toy. Crate will be included. Sundae is being offered Free, HOWEVER, I MUST receive a veterinarian's reference, and the home / yard must be appropriate for an Amstaff. Owners with prior Bull / Terrier breed experience preferred.
Please open your home to this wonderful dog!
For more information on Sundae please contact: Nicole at: edansmommy@me.com

Zena
Zena
Hello everyone, I am Zena. My previous owners abandoned me, and now I am looking for a forever home. I am a little timid at first, until you get to know me, then I will be your best friend. I love getting all of the attention, so I would prefer being an only child, but I can learn to love other dogs. In fact, lately I have been doing well with other dogs that are submissive males, so depending on the family that is interested in me, I may be able to have a sibling!  I enjoy learning commands, and especially love getting rewards. I do know how to sit, give paw and lie down. I am a very smart girl. I am around 5 1/2 yrs old, but I act like a puppy. Please take me home with you...I will be your best friend.  (Zena is up to date with routine shots, is house-trained, and is spayed)  For more information on Zena please contact Angie at Windcrest Animal Hospital 302-998-2995.

Cats

Sammy
Sammy is a 4 or 5-year old black cat.  He has yellowish-green eyes and white curly whiskers.  He weighs about 11 pounds and is all love.  He’s a very friendly and loving cat.  If you want a talker, he definitely talks to you.  He came around to my house a few months ago and has not left.  He started meowing at us and walked up to us when we were ready to pet him.  Since then, every time my husband and I come home, Sammy is at the driveway or at the porch greeting us.  He doesn’t mind being picked up. In fact, when I do, I hear his motor running (purring).  I’d like to get him a permanent place before the cold weather sets in. Please email Denisse at dbasaure@msn.com or call at 302-984-6287 (work) for more info/pictures on Sammy.

Autumn
Autumn is about 5 or 6 years old.  Her colors are spectacular:  brown, black, beige and orange.  Her paw colors mimic her overall coat.  She is about 7 pounds and has yellowish-green eyes. She was saved from a trashcan dump when she was a kitten from a neighbor.  Unfortunately, her new owner died and has been the “neighborhood” cat.  She is very friendly with all the neighbors and hangs out on the porch where she and her deceased owner sat.  In the mornings, she greets us and wish us a good day at work. In the evenings, she always comes to greet us when we come home from work at the driveway or at the porch.  She is a very loving and friendly cat.  She likes her freedom during the day but I know by the evening, she would be ready for dinner and stay in for a nice cuddling session with you at night. Please email Denisse at dbasaure@msn.com or call 302-984-6287 (work) for more info/pictures on Autumn.
