Volunteer Opportunities
Faithful Friends relies greatly on the generousity of our volunteers 7 days a week!
Please read the Getting Started and Volunteer Requirements sections below before applying.
Once you decide to apply, please print and complete the Volunteer Application.
Applications will only be considered if the the entire form is completed and signatures are included.
We prefer that applications be hand delivered to our shelter. Applications receive via mail, fax and email will also be considered.
Getting Started:
- Once you submit your completed application, Faithful Friends will review it.
- If your interests, qualifications and availability matchour current opportunities, you will receive an invitation to attend an Information Session where you will learn about Faithful Friends' programs, services and volunteer opportunities.
- Once you complete the Information Session, you will be schduled for a training session in the appropriate department.

Once you complete training, you will be added to our volunteer schedule.
Volunteer Requirements:
- All applicants must be 16 years of age or older.
- Applicants under 16 years of age must have a parent complete the application and waiver and must be accompanied by a parent at all times.
- Applicants under 18 years of age must have a parent sign their application.
- Petco stores (off-site adoption centers) require volunteers to be 18 years of age or older.
- Only volunteers who are 16 years of age or older are permitted to volunteer in the dog department. Younger volunteers with parents will be assigned to other duties outside the dog department.
- Our focus is building long-term relationship with our volunteers. Our priority for acceptance into our program will be volunteers who are willing to make a minimum commitment of 6 hours a month for 6 months.
- Volunteers are required to maintain an annual membership to help support our program and the overall mission of the organization. The membership fee is $25.00 a year and is not required until acceptance into the program is confirmed.
